Julie Burbridge attended Indiana University as a foreign language major, but followed her passion into fine arts and design. Her academic pursuits included studies abroad at the renowned Victoria and Albert museum in London, England. She began her design career in Denver, Colorado, and subsequently established herself in the artists´ community of Laguna Beach, California.

While creating Burbridge Design Group, Inc., Ms. Burbridge served for four years as the Design Director at the prominent Costa Mesa, California based firm, Creative Design Consultants.

Ms. Burbridge´s multiple winner of the Building Industry Association Sales & Marketing Council’s prestigious Laurel Award, and she is the recipient of several MAME (Marketing and Merchandising Excellence) Awards for Best Interior Design. Ms. Burbridge is the author of numerous notable trade articles, conducts popular industry seminars, and is a guest lecturer on interior design. She also designs upscale tableware for such firms as Christian Dior, Sasaki, and Mikasa, and she participates actively in the internationally acclaimed Color Marketing Group. Ms. Burbridge’s work, for both interior design and tableware, has been widely published in periodicals including Home Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Gourmet Magazine, and Tableware Today.

In 2002, Ms. Burbridge established herself as a highly acclaimed and sought-after interior designer throughout China. She has designed a myriad of residential developments and has earned an enviable reputation in the industry.
